Design Philosphy

The opportunity to provide a home environment for twelve seniors, our parents and friends, leads us to examine the way we will build this environment. Our intention is to answer affirmatively the questions:
- Will it be at peace with and contribute to the surroundings?
- Will it live "lightly" on the land and acknowledge its place in the natural world and become tied to it?
- Will it be an escape from suburbia that has failed to provide the social networks that sustain us as communities?
- Will it allow freedom from car dependency?
- Will it nourish a sense of community we long to live in?
